Oh, no!!! My PB 360 is dead!!!
So I'm sitting there reading the new Tom Clancy book. I leave the room for a few minutes, come back, and . . . well, you can see the picture for yourself. The screen has a damaged look to it, although there is no visible physical damage to the screen. The unit is totally unresponsive, have tried using the reset button, plugging into the PC, disconnecting the battery, nada.
You're probably looking at the picture and thinking, this guy twisted or otherwise put too much stress on the device. But I have taken VERY GOOD care of this thing, it's my little baby. Has this happened to anyone else? I purchased this just under a year ago from 17th Street Photo. Do I go through them for a warranty claim or should I deal directly with PB? Not sure I'll get anywhere as it looks like I stepped on the darn thing. It's actually getting worse as I'm typing this... navels |

I'll tell you one thing. They will not honor your warranty unless it's a common issue.
Power button on my PB360 got stuck and PB asked me to send it in. Then they told me it's not covered by the warranty b/c it only happened to me and one other guy. I only tried to turn the device on when it broke. I did not abuse it. I'm out of $130 and I only got my PB last December. Customer service is not that good. |

This is a classic picture of a broken screen substrate. It's not covered by warranty, because it can ONLY occur through user damage. I fully understand that you're not away of having dropped it, twisted it, knocked it, or whatever, but this is what must have happened. It can take a while from the crack to develop in the glass, so it may have occurred at some point in the past.
