I'm a new Kindle user without wifi and I'm trying to learn how to download books via the USB port on my computer.

Well, holler if you need any help! Lots of us have kindles, and we are a very friendly crowd here. Up at the tippy top of the page, find the word FORUMS and then find the KINDLE forum, for the best place to ask questions.

Or ask me, since I spoke up.

(no, I don't really look like the lady in the picture. She's from TV. I just *want* to look like her!)

Here is the info on adding files via USB from the Kindle user's guide...

Hi, welcome to MR from the Netherlands.

If your books aren't protected by DRM, you can just put them in the documentfolder of your Kindle. Or, and that's really good, you could use Calibre = a free bookmanagement program, with excellent features, that recognizes your Kindle and then you can sent all your books to the Kindle. Enjoy yourself!
