New Kindle Game - The Warlock of Firetop Mountain

The Warlock of Firetop Mountain ($3.99) is a new game for Kindle from Worldweaver. Based upon the Fighting Fantasy Adventure series of books from the 70's, this is more of a game, with RPG elements, than just a choose-your-own-path book. The book this one is based upon is out of print, but you can still pick up used copies ($0.89+).

So far, I've played it for a couple of hours and made it thru what is, I'm sure, only a portion of the dungeon (and died several times). Your map is retained between tries, but you play "forward", no doubling back (limited and sometimes no choices, depending on where you are). You have to learn which places to go first, as you can't go back to them and remember to save in the appropriate spots (you can't do this, just anywhere).

I vaguely remember playing a computer game based on this in the 80s. No matter which direction you tried to take from one room you always got eaten by a giant spider in the dark. That was the end of my short lived interest in computer games.

Hi,

From my experience, I remember that I really loved that kind of book/game.

I'm trying to buy it on amazon.com and it is no more available... 10 days after the launch...

Can you tell me how to buy it? Do I need to do it from the kindle?

I just checked and it is available, but it is limited to (a) those with a updated K2, KDX or K3 and (b) those whose address is the US.
