Arrow iRiver and the DRM format

Hello,

I read, iRiver can handle pdf and epub with DRM but when I copy the book_name.epub file to my iRiver it ist not possible to open it.
Have I to copy some of the other files (maybe a kind of key) as well?

I bought a book and now I can not read it on my new iRiver ...

Thank you for answering!

Christian

Hello Christian,

you have to use Adobe Digital Editions to bring the file onto your reader. The book you bought is authorized to be read with your ADE, ADE is able to give this authorization away to six devices you own. Have a look here it explains it better than I do.

Hello Poppaea,

thank you for your answer! I installed ADobe Digital Editions 1.7.2.1131. But how can I transfer the files. I could not find a "button" to transfer. Are there different versions of ADE?

Just a minute, I have to try it as I never use it. Back in a moment.

Have you authorized your reader for ADE? If so, does it show up on the left side when you have the library view open?

I just dragged and dropped the book to my reader.
