Update from recovery menu

Hi, I have problem with updating my Kindle 3 WiFi to 3.1 software..It was hacked, but even if I uninstall it the update would fail..Is possible to update it from recovery menu?Or si there any other possibility to restore system?Some kind of full system flash, or so?

Make sure that you have the right file and followed the directions from the Amazon Site. If that doesn't solve your problem, contact Amazon Customer Support. The hacks should not affect your installation.
