calibre, version 0.7.43
ERROR: Cannot view: The Wailing Asteroid has no available formats.

Help! This morning I upgraded to 0.7.44 and Calibre ceased working inasmuch as I could no longer access books on the computer screen ie I get the error above when trying to access any of my books. I am using XP v2002 SP3. I uninstalled the 0.7.44 and reinstalled 0.7.43 to no avail. This is probably the wrong forum thread to ask for help but I am new to forums.

This error means the book entry has no file in the directory that calibre's database expects to find the book. Did you recently rearrange folders on your hard drive? If you select a book and open the containing folder (O) what files do you see?

If you deleted books you might want to check the recycle or trash bin.

Of course you can always restore from backup.

TY to those that answered especially to dwanthny who identified the problem - now fixed.

I love my Sony PRS 650, since getting it in November last I have read approximately one book per day.
