Best buy free case offer

Bestbuy.com is having a free case offer with some of their e-readers.

Of course, that means dealing with Best Buy...

I tried to get a prs350 with Sony case but the system wouldn't let me order *any* of the Sony cases. During checkout it just said 'unavailable'. Nobody in the store knew why (Manager to me: 'There's literally nothing I can do...', and after 3 calls to customer service, each ending in a disconnect, I gave up. I'm too old to mess terrible stores like Best Buy. I'll stick with Amazon.com, which shows clear availability and great customer service. I might miss a theoretical 'Deal' at brick-and-mortar stores, but life is too short.

Still, I thought I'd let the group know. Someone else might have better luck.

I had the exact same issue -- wanted the PRS350 and thought a free case was great. I ended up calling the 800 to try to order it. After a little complaining about wasting my time travelling to the store, they relented and offered me 20% off the reader. Still not as good of a deal, but better than nothing.

The current flyer has the free case offer, with dates from (I believe) Feb 6 to 13. Just got a Kindle (finally!) with a free purple M-Edge case ($40 retail) at the Salem, NH store. Manchester, NH Best Buy had a lot more cases in stock, though.
