Finally broke down and got the lighted case.

I am now a proud owner of a cover with light. I am excited to try it out tonight. I like to read just before I slip off to slumberland.

I don't want to get up and turn off the light so hopefully I will be able to read with the lights turned off. Yipee.

Oh I also have this case I was using with my kindle and I got my kindle a different case. The Sony reader 350 with the cover with light fits perfectly in it. Added protection while in my purse. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ef=oss_product

I got vera bradley ereader case for my kindle. The kindle and lighted cover fits perfectly inside. You can view it here.

I got the Folkloric pattern.

I love my Sony ereader cover. It protects the ereader too and looks nice. It took me ages to work out how to turn the thing off the first time though. Eventually I worked out to just lie it down and it will turn off automatically - lol.

Nice, give us a review! I might have to break down and get it too. I'm hoping it will come down to $30 soon, but that might be wishful thinking.

As far as a review goes, there's not much to say -

- It has two levels, and throws a nice white uniform pattern which you can angle from the left side or from the top as you prefer (much more uniform than the pull-out-from-the-corner lighted Kindle 3 case)

- It has really great battery life on only 1 aaa battery ( as much as 20-30 hours on low).

- Like most Sony stuff, it works fairly well, but COSTS TOO MUCH (good luck at finding one for 30 bucks)

$33....

If you have a borders near you, I had a 33% off coupon and they let me use it on the Sony Lighted case. Was about $33-$34...not too bad. He said they would be discontinuing them though....

Mine finally came today for my PRS-350, I got it for $37.99 and free shipping from B&H Photo. It adds about an inch to the width of the reader, so it's not bad at all.

In addition to what others have already said about it, the front and back flaps of it have a slight magnetic pull to stay closed and attached to the reader, which I like. You can bend the top all the way back so you're not holding an open book (unless you prefer to hold it in the open position). I really like it so far.

Okay I will try to give a review best as I can.
To start out my first impressions was for the quality of the case it is way to expensive. It is made out of some kind of vynal I think. Which in my mind for some reason I thought it would be leather. The front of it looks leather but I don' think it is.

Okay as far as the functionality goes. I like the brightness of the light. I especially like when you liftup the arm the light automatically turns on. All and all I like the lighted cover.

One other thing the devise is held in by two plastic pegs which makes me a little concerned that they may break off.

If You can wait a while and see if it goes down in price I recommend it. I give this case 4 stars out of five. Because it should be $30 certainly not $50. I hope this helps.

I forgot to mention it is a pretty sturdy case which would protect it from bumps and scrapes. But if dropped it probably wouldn't . An earlier post stated it has a magnetic closure. Which makes it nice. I enjoy reading with it.

I have the lighted cover for the 950. I love it, the new covers are much better than the old ones (I had a lighted cover for the 900 and the light just wasn't bright enough...).

I was concerned about the pegs as well. After three months of VERY INTENSE use, they are doing great.

My only complaint is about battery life. I change battery on the light way more often than I recharge my PRS950. Wish the cover took two batteries, it looks like they could have fit them in there...

Ugh, I'm pretty sure the price jumped back up to $50. Google Price Shopping Link.

I found two tiny little black marks on my screen that won't go away, they stay permanently black. Looks like my cat has been walking across my screen with her claws! For $40 I was just going to order the dang thing and now it jumped back up to $50. What a pain.

EDIT: Just sucked it up and ordered it at ABT for $38 shipped. Some of those places on the google shopping list were trying to charge an outrageous $12+ for shipping!

Just got mine and so far so good! Looks very nice and professional and will at least let me carry it around without fear of mangling the thing. $38 still seems steep to me on this one. The light is well engineered, but I think $30 would be the "totally worth it" price point.

Can anyone comment on how the durability of this case is if you fold it back on a daily basis? Has anyone used it long enough to notice any wear (cracks, breaking, etc) along the spine if it's done on a regular basis? I'm looking to pick one up for my PRS-650 (either lighted or nonlighted) but it's definitely necessary for me to fold it back, since I always need one hand free while reading on my commute.

Doesn't seem too bad. I would imagine you could get at least a year or more out of it doing that everyday. Although if you bend it back and clamp down with a vise grip on that seam, I can't imagine it would last that long. I haven't had mine long enough, but it seems somewhat durable but not bulletproof.

Thanks for the reply. Good to hear that it can withstand a little wear and tear!
