Is there any work happening at Apple to have an emulator of iBooks reader for WinOS?

Hi All,
Amazon has launched a Kindle Previewer for Windows OS. "Kindle Previewer is a tool that emulates how books display on Kindle devices and applications. Kindle Previewer makes it easy to preview the layout of a book and make sure its text displays properly for any orientation or font size. This tool is recommended for publishers, eBook conversion companies, and individual authors in combination with KindleGen to produce the highest quality Kindle books. It is available for both Windows and Mac OS X platforms."

Is there any work happening at Apple to have an emulator of iBooks reader for Windows OS?
If yes, by when a stable release is expected for end users?
*This will surely help book/document conversion or publishing houses.

Cheers
Vikas

Apple seem fairly eager to use the ios devices to boost sales of their other hardware as seen by the sdk only being for osx, so there probably won't be anything like that for windows.

Since there is no such software by Apple for their own Mac OS X I strongly doubt that ....

Apple is a hardware company primarily, and everything they do is focussed on that. You can't even submit books to iTunes store without a Mac, and I assume that their expectation is that would be publishers will need to get an actual iPad and iPhone as well to do fine tuning. Just as if you were developing iOS apps...

In that case, Apple must reduce their hardware price for conversion houses only then they can promote their agenda and iBookStore accordingly :-)
Other their competitors who ready with emulators for corresponding reading devices will lead and own the major chunk of Publishing market ha ha ha
