Hello people,

I am new to this forum.

I recently bought my PSR-600 and I was using it, and knew no worries, until, one day, after coming home from work, I discovered that the screen was damaged. It looks as if the "ink" is spilled under it. I can turn it on, and I see that it is working, but the screen wont show a thing, it just has those wierd marks on it.

As I may have correctly guessed, my screen is broken. Which brings me to theese questions.

Is it repairable and how much would it cost to repair.

Kinda got very much used to it, know I am feeling kinda depressed since it wont budge ;/

Most likely broken, can be repaired but not cheaply... better off with either a new one or check eBay as 600s are getting cheaper... sorry about your 600, as a last resort, you could always try dismantling and checking that ribbon cables firmly in place but doubtful as it sounds like classic dead screen...

No, some physical force defenetely affected my screen.

Well.. since it wasn't lcd, i thought it would be cheaper :/

I guess I seriously should start thinking about betting a new reader *sob*

I got used pretty well to PSR600, do you strongly suggest on getting a most recently released reader, because I heard of a wast sortiment of functions available now, that my 600th did not offer.

It's not only more functions (which new readers have plenty) but als vastly superior screen.

I still have my PRS-600 (actually my wife has it) and I have a PRS-650.

Get the 650. You won't look back a second.
