Classic nook E-ink screen frozen, LCD is okay

i have a problem with my nook , I carry it around with my in my bag within case,
today I found out the E-ink screen is stuck on the wallpaper with multiple vertical striped lines in it, won't refresh no matter how many times I restarted the device ...
the LCD panel working just fine, what should i do? thank you

Did you try removing the battery and rebooting?

If you bought it from a local BN store and it's still under warranty or within the return period, you might want to take it in and have someone look at it. Sounds like a hardware problem, perhaps a damaged screen.

the problem is the device is shipped to me internationally by forward-shipping service,
i checked their website, unless i have extended warranty, they won't cover such defect (accidental damage)!!!
I will check again though
