Hi, I am talking about the NOOKcolor from Barnes and Nobles. I am here to tell you that the new app store from B&N will come out sometime early in March of 2011. They will launch about 50-100 apps developed by their development team. This includes some standard android apps such as Angry Birds. I look foreward to the day that the NOOKcolor lives up to its potential. Hope you all are well, and have a good Day!

I don't forsee that Kindle for Android will be one of the apps that B&N will be offering on the Nook Color. I think I will just keep mine rooted :-)

Yeah....it seems there would be no point for people that are already rooted....

Maybe there will be some added features that will make it worth unrooting, upgrading then re-rooting.....but it'll have to be much more than what NOOKcolor B&N is describing....

Hi, I have done more research found out thatq the B&N NOOKcolor can watch videos. First, you need to donload a video converter, and then you can convert youtube videos into MP4 format, which the NOOKcolor can support. I am actually typing this with my NOOKcolor and hav completed this task several times and have succesfully downloadex several movies. NOOKcolor, welcome. Yes, if you go through and read past (and current) threads, you'll find out quite a lot about what else your NC can do.

Here I am again, and this time I'm in trouble. I have tried using a video converter but my NOOKcolor will NOT play the video....Can anyone help me???

You need to give more info. What converter, what did you try to convert, what format, what conversion settings did you use, what error message did you get.

I used Any Video Converter( found on www.tips4pc.com), I tried to convert the sample videos from my PC to MP4 format and onto my NOOK color. I never got an error message, but it wouldn't open for me. I have a Micro SD card inside of my NOOK color and it recognizes it and the information on it(music, etc). I copied the sample video onto the SD card but it wold not open or play for me.
