Whispernet.com accessed my mail from US: Is this normal?

Hi there
I'm a recent kindle owner and I own the 3G version from Canada. Today I tried to log in my facebook va kindle and it say someone was trying to access my facebook with a mobile device from Seattle WA when I was asleep.
Fast forward couple of hours and I tried to access my mail from laptop and got this message-

Quote:
Access Type [ ? ]
(Browser, mobile, POP3, etc.) Location (IP address) [ ? ] Date/Time
(Displayed in your time zone)
Unknown United States (whispernet.com:IP address) Jan 13 (2 days ago)
Browser * Canada (IP address) 1:35 pm (0 minutes ago)
Browser Canada (IP address) 12/30/10
Browser Canada (IP address) 12/20/10

*I've changed Items in bold

Why is whispernet.com (is this even a legit website maintained by Amazon?) trying to access my info? And was this website responsible for trying to access my facebook page?? Should I be worried?

Thanks for any info...

I would contact Amazon and speak to the Kindle CS.

When using 3G everything goes through Amazon proxies so it'd appear that you're coming from Amazon. As for why you're seeing it during times when you're not using the Kindle, I've no idea.

whispernet.com does appear to be owned by Amazon at least from the whois data.

Exactly what said someone tried to access your Facebook with a mobile device?

Again, you "got this message" how? Your email software gave you this message?
Without knowing what software actually created that log (I assume what you quoted was a log file of some kind), it's pretty hard to tell what might - or might not - be going on here.

Some specific info might be helpful, but I'd suggest calling Customer Service as others have mentioned.

Sorry if I wasn't very clear about this. I tried log into facebook mobile version with my kindle, but I couldn't log in. There was a message suggesting I should try to log in with a computer. So I did try to log in in my laptop web browser, but I got a message saying facebook had detected suspicious activity, apparently someone tried to log into my facebook from Seattle,WA using a mobile device. I don't know if this is somehow kindle related, so thought I should ask.

I got this message from my gmail account. There was a red tab on top of list of my emails. I clicked it and got that message in new window.
