Microscopic photos of a Cybook Opus e-ink display

To test two sample digital microscopes I received from the vendor, I also took microscopic photos of my Cybook Opus e-ink display. The highest magnification images, i.e. around 500X, show the pigment microcapsules below the display's upper layer.

Thanks. I really like the images. If someone asks me about e-ink displays, I'll make sure to refer them to this thread. Am I allowed to take the whole set and convert them into a set of boot logos for my Pocketbook ereader? Not sure if they would be clear enough though - microscopic pictures of e-ink on an e-ink display, kind of 'meta'...

Thanks, I'm glad you like the photos. Indeed, one of the reasons why I took them is that I found relatively few online microscopic images of e-ink displays.

You are welcome to use them, I hope that they will look good enough on your reader.
