NEC Dual Screen Android "Communicator"
http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/06/n...lt-w-hands-on/
Im sure Nate will get over to this when he can. At CES NEC has debuted a dual display Android 2.1 OS device that looks mostly like its directed at e-reading and note taking. Sort of a knock off Courier. The engadget staff werent impressed with the resitive touch and stylus etc ( i wish thye'd get over stylus some people want/like them for note taking etc) and it seems laggy but its not finalized and could be worth a second look . It includes a camera for picture taking, which can be really helpful in lectures for snapping pics of slides etc. Nice looking Manga reader ![]() Last edited by Dulin's Books; 01-06-2011 at 03:28 PM. |

The problem with Android right now is the spectre of Honeycomb, and the hardware requirements it has. A tablet that's limited to 2.1 or 2.2 needs to show that it can be useful right now, because when stuff like the Xoom ships (especially if it actually does make it for Q1) you know it's going to be a lot more shiny.
