Troubleshooting Kindle K3 discharges on a charger - strange

Hi!

I have noticed several times that when I put my K3(fw3.0.3.) on it's supplied charger it will charge in 4-5 hours, and the LED turns green indicating full battery. But if I leave it on the charger it starts discharging! The capacity only goes down, and rapidly?! On a charger, yes

The log file confirms this. Here are the latest entries:

Started charging at 3:42AM:

K3 Reports 100% at 6:13AM and keeps at full until 9:40AM:

The very next status after saying the batt is full the discharge starts (9:53AM):

With the charger plugged in, still discharges!!! By 2:03PM it's at 86%, with WiFi OFF!:

The sequence shows the start of charging, report of 100%, and discharging, all with the charger plugged in, and the battery icon showing the connection???

Any help would be appreciated! Why is it rapidly discharging on a charger and how?

I can provide a full log if that would help!

Interesting I have not noticed that. I will have to check my K3 out to see if that happens.

The point is to leave it on a charger after the LED goes green. It seems like it keeps at 100% and then decides it has had enough and starts training the battery.?!

if it wasn't charging at all I would suspect a faulty cord. best give customer service a call
