Queensland floods

We have a number of members from Aussie on MR, and not a few from flood-devastated Queensland.

I wonder if someone from over there could give us a note on how things are for the people of Queensland, perhaps more up-to-date and informed than the brief reports we see in our news reports.

It is very wet here, but we are not in the flood zone. We are three houses from a flooded river, but we are at the tidal sea end and would not cop anything bad unless we had a high tide with a surge.

Towns further north will be getting hit hard, and may not have electrickery so members from there may not be able to post.
