Delete Expired Book?

I download books from my local library using Overdrive and they have an expiration. However, they still show up in My Library (on the Nook Color) even though they can no longer be read.

Does anyone know how to delete them directly on the Nook - I assume that I could delete them manually via USB?

EDIT: Doh! It's done using ADE on my PC (but it would be nice to have a way to delete books without having to connect to a PC).

You can't delete anything from the device. Yes, you need to do it via computer.

Well, I am rooted and I thought that Root Explorer might work but I'm hesitant to try - does the nondelete issue also apply to rooted NC's?

Yes, you can delete using a file manager. Hard to remember who's rooted. Sorry.

emt, you don't necessarily have to delete using ADE. You could delete the file directly from your NC's My Files folders using Windows Explorer / Mac Finder. That's what I typically do because it's faster. With my method I still have to remember to cleanup the folders of my ADE Library on my hard-drive eventually. I try to minimize using ADE because each connection recreates book cover images that get dumped in My Gallery that I don't want and then have to spend more time cleaning up my NC folders of extraneous jpegs. It's a trade-off.
