Strange Characters â??s

Any idea what causes this in some newspaper articles and is there a fix ?

Itâ??s become obvious to me that (Bradley) Manningâ??s physical and mental well-being are deteriorating.

Most likely a charatcer encoding issue. Check the recipe against the encoding as seen by your browser--most likely there's a mismatch (e.g. one says ISO, the other UTF-8)

Putting this in my recipe fixed it. Thank you.
encoding = 'utf-8'
