B&N Sucks!
I dont believe this! I have a shiny new nook color freshly delivered to me by Mr UPS Man... I take it out, turn it on, and notice 2 small chips on the glass under the digitizer, and drive on over to the local B&N store to exchange it...
Those a-holes will not take it back because I bought it online and I need to call tech support to arrange for a replacement ![]() ![]() One is coming my way but will not be here till mid next week at the earliest ![]() On the plus side the nook color is pretty bad ass ![]() |

Oh, even if you bought it in the brick and mortar store you have to go the 1-800 route for a replacement. My 10 month old nook developed the notorious bezel crack - took it to the store where I'd bought it - no go. I guess they don't want to waste a new one when a refurb will do.

Big change from last Summer when the 1-800 tech people were sending everyone to the store. They must have figured out that processing returns in a single location is cheaper.

My nook developed a bezel crack. Called the 800 number. Before I hung up I had already received three emails. One was instructions on sending the unit back. The other was a prepaid UPS label. The third was a notification that the unit would ship Monday (this was Sunday). They shipped the new nook as promised and gave me 14 days to return the cracked one so I was never without a nook. When I received the replacement, it was "Certified Pre-owned" meaning refurbished, but it was as flawless as a new one in appearance and operation. It works fine.
How can anyone fault that kind of customer service? |

Anyone considering buying a Nook should know that only unopened Nooks are returnable to a B&N store .
"Returning nook You can return nook within 14 days of receipt. Either call 1-800-THE-BOOK (843-2665) for a return authorization, or return it to a Barnes & Noble store." Items must be returned in their original condition; shrink-wrapped products must be unopened." Yes, Bestbuy does have an excellent return policy, but you can get up to 15% off if you buy direct from B&N via a cashback site combined with the Amex Open Savings rebate. |

I had my Nook classic for 6 months until the bezel broke and I had to get a replaced one. I was sent a replacement in 3 days and I live all the way in alaska. It was very fast and they emailed me the shipping labels, it went very smooth to get my new nook classic.
