PRS-350 always charging!

I'm new to the Sony ereader and this forum and I hope some one can help me. When I plug it in it starts charging automatically. Then it says USB connected Charging complete. I cannot transfer books in this state. So I unplug the USB and it goes to HOME. I open the Reader Library and plug in again to transfer a book and immediately it starts charginging and around we go again.

I transferred books successfully before but not now. I must be doing something wrong or differently now. Oh yes, I did reset, still no joy. HELP PLEASE!

What happens when you try to transfer books while the reader is charging?

How are you transferring the books (Calibre, Sony Library, Windows Explorer)?

Thanks for replying! I read some other questions and answers on the forum and figured out that the Sony Library opening automatically was causing the problem. I stopped that from happening and started using ADE and everything works now.
