Can you view dictionary by itself?
Can you view dictionary by itself? I know how to use it in the reader app, etc, but sometimes I would just like to open the dictionary by itself to lookup words. The Kindles and Sony Readers allow this, but I can't seem to find how to do this on the NC. I'm thinking maybe I have to buy a dictionary?

I use the Oxford American Dictionary and Thesaurus (paid app).
http://www.appbrain.com/app/oxford-d...ctandthes.full There's also an Oxford English Dictionary. |

Hey, this is probably a stupid idea, but hear me out.
We know that if you press & hold a word in an ebook, it pops up a window that lets you display the word's definition. So... shouldn't it be possible to just load a document that is nothing more than a list of all the words, in nice columns, and then when you press & hold a word, it will look it up? If this would work, it couldn't be that hard to create an epub that would do this, without needing a special app. Thanks for listening to my raving, - Snard |
