Canadian Kindle on vacation in Mexico - 3G?
I'm planning a warm holiday for the end of January and I was curious if my Kindle would get free internet down there? Anyone have experience with this?

Cancun, well just slightly north of it in Playa Juarez but I believe it's still considered Cancun. Sorry I guess I should have specified that

I haven't been there in awhile but since where I live is more remote and we have plenty of coffee shops with free WiFi. Huatulco, where my sister goes in the winter, also has a lot of free WiFi locations. I would be shocked if the Cancun area doesn't have free WiFi. I suspect that 3G works, too, but for me the reception for 3G has been less reliable than WiFi.

Thanks for the info Patrick, I figured there would be free wifi if I really hunted for it but our resort (Sea Adventure) is not in the main hotel district and doesn't offer free wifi on the resort. I thought this would be a good way to check my emails once a day, if not $5 for half an hour every other day isn't that bad
I'm pretty stoked to see the Mayan ruins! |
