Turns out to be another one of those annoying glorified previews.

The Tiger's Curse, by Colleen Houck, is the 1st book in a YA fantasy romance series of the same name. This is free at B&N, courtesy of publisher Sterling, who've also been offering free Nook Color books for kids as well.

I have to say, I was highly amused by the telegraphic, broken sentence style of the first paragraph of the description and though it was an especially breathless self-pub blurb at first.

Synopsis
The last thing Kelsey Hayes thought she'd be doing this summer was trying to break a 300-year old Indian curse. With a mysterious white tiger named Ren. Halfway around the world.
But that's exactly what happened.

Appears to be 4 chapters only, from the cover. Another edition (without limitations shown on cover) is 300K larger.

Bleah. Damn thing didn't have a cover earlier this afternoon. I hate these stupid hidden preview "freebies". At least either give a full excerpted short story or indicate that it's just a glorified sample in the title
