how to tell which Kindle (3g or wifi) without opening box?

Hello! Does anyone know how to tell the difference between Kindle versions (3g or wifi) without opening the box? I just received one as a gift, and I'm probably going to re-gift it, but I'd like to know which it is. I know it's one of the newest versions, and the bottom says it's on AT&T network, color is "DRK" and it gives the FSN number, an ICCCID No., and the upc barcode.

B001 = Kindle 1
B002 = Kindle 2 U.S.
B003 = Kindle 2 international version
B008 = Kindle 3 WIFI version
B006 = Kindle 3 3G + WIFI U.S. version
B00A = Kindle 3 3G + WIFI European version
B004 = Kindle DX U.S.
B005 = Kindle DX international version
B009 = Kindle DXG

thank you so much! mine says B006A, so i guess it's the 3g+WiFi US.

You would be correct, and you can't get the 3G without the WiFi, but you can get the WiFi(B008) without the 3G(B006)

If it says that it's on the AT&T network, then it's pretty blooming obvious that it's 3G

The boxes I saw at Target had the device type written on them. Maybe that is something they do for the retail stores but not the models sent from Amazon.

And stop looking at where the Christmas gifts are hidden. Sheeeeesh (winks)
