Incorrect Date on kindle 3

Howdy

Got my kindle three weeks ago. When I go to My Clippings It shows date of January 10,1010, 07:39PM. The time is correct but date is not. How do you set Date on these?

You can set the date and time manually from one of the pages of the "Options" screen. On a 3G Kindle, the clock should be set automatically from the 3G connection.

Sorry, I have a kindle 3 WIFI not the 3G. Under settings it only gives option to change time. Were do you find Options screen?

My apologies - you are absolutely right. The "Settings" screen lets you set the time, but not the date. In that case, I honestly don't know! Sorry for the duff info.

You can't do it manually.

Connect to your WLAN and it should get the date from there.
If this is not an option the only way I know is to install Duokan, Duokan can change the date.

It is more than ridiculous that Amazon does not allow people to change the date...

You were correct. Had to drive into town and connect. It corrected date but changed my time so I had to reset it. I live out in country where only have dial up. Have to download books to pc and move to kindle.
