Wifi Kobo available in Australia through Borders - $179
Hi all

I just got an email from Borders announcing the sale of the Wifi Kobo in Australia, I guess in time for the xmas rush.

So hopefully an update to the original firmware before xmas too? A man can dream.

Hopefully that means it will soon reach us in New Zealand. The original is still on sale for $249 NZD

I was hoping a price reduction was going to be coupled for the new release. Still it is good the Ko2 is finally available.

NZD$249? I've seen it in Whitcoulls for NZD$199 and I think I've seen it as low as NZD$149 when Whitcoulls had a sale.

Interesting that Whitcoulls are now selling the Sony's as well. I haven't seen any e-readers in NZ Borders stores.

They are definitely selling the Kobo ($199) at Borders in Wellington. Can't recall if they had the Sony's or not

Whoops - you're right. I have had one bookmarked on my browser for weeks for $249. But when I went to recheck it they have sold out online. I was considering getting one for my parents for Xmas. But I think I'll wait - in case the wifi arrives soon.

Have just recieved an email to say the Wifi Kobo is available at Borders NZ for a special intro price of $219 with coupon until this Sunday 19th Dec.
