Instructions For Loading Library Epubs to Jetbook
I loaded my first library book tonight. As a newbie, here is what I did (hope I remembered everything) after updating to v0.35m:
1. Setup an Adobe username and password at the Adobe site. 2. Download Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) reader to computer. 3. Download library epub ebook. You will need the username and password to move books from your computer to the Jetbook. Open book in ADE by doubleclicking on it. The book should now be in your document folder. 4. Close ADE. Attach Jetbook to computer and open SD card, THEN open ADE. It will "see" the Jetbook and ask to authorize it. Authorize. 5. Go to library view of ADE. Book should appear in "All Items." A Jetbook bookcase should have been added to the Bookshelves list. Click on the book picture and drag it over the Jetbook bookshelf listing. Book picture should now appear in the Jetbook bookcase. 6. Close ADE and eject SD card. 7. Turn on Jetbook. Go to "Settings".."Internal File Manager".."Digital Editions". The book should now be listed. You can also drag the ebook from your computer document file to any book folder in the Jetbook. Books look great! |

I did it! The only thing a little different from your directions....I had the SD card in the JBL, while connected to ADE, dragged the books over, closed ADE, ejected the JBL, then followed step 7 (except it was already on). I would not have known where to find the books if you hadn't posted that!
My library didn't have many books that interest me. I may get the card from the Philly library that I have heard people rave about. |

Question, are the library books even on the card? Or are they part of the internal memory? Is it possible to put them on a card?

The JBL supports ADE DRM for .epub and .pdf files. Most USA Libraries that offer ebooks
for loan through a contract with "OverDrive", who provide media support including ebooks. The JBL does not provide support for Mobi DRM, which some libraries also offer. Luck; Ken |

I bought my JBL 2 weeks ago and haven't started using it yet because I was considering returning it. When I didn't see the JBL listed on Overdrive's website, I was a little concerned. Your reply was very helpful. Thanks a lot.

Depending on what stocking date may have been with the place you purchased the JBL from 2 weeks ago, it may or may not come loaded with that firmware. You can check on your JBL under "System Settings" "Firmware Version", it should say Software: v0.16e Patch: v16. If not you will want to download the update to the latest version. Is this the same instructions for downloading the library books to ALP? I want to make sure I get the "no clock" download for the Libre.
