Problem with Greeks

Dear all,

I try to convert a pdf with Greek fonts to epub but as you may already know, there are serious conversion inaccuracies with Greek language.

Is there anybody who has overcome the problem with Greek fonts?

Hi Aspasia
First of all I can't give you any input to your question.
Secondly I just want to warn you that the Subject of your post MIGHT result in a lot of answers you weren't looking for
Problem with Greeks ?
Ooooooh - can you imagine ?
Bad national economy bringing EU to their knees, (you just keep on filling in ...). And then having to decide witch one to choose ?
SORRY - couldn't help my self.
Only been there once, love most the people, as long as I could avoid the tourist hunters.

The calibre forum seems to attract more mature posters than the rest of MR so I doubt the title of the post will be a problem.

People have overcome this problem with Greek fonts - there is some discussion regarding this over on the epub sub-forum about which fonts to use, how to embed them, etc. That said, the pdf may or may not be using the correct unicode code points. In some cases pdf just uses glyphs instead of actual characters, and they won't convert.
