I desire to use either a custom field or tag for the Category in iBooks. In Calibre, I've cleared the plugin option to use the series name. From what I understand, it will now use the first tag name. So I set two tags of Science Fiction and FOO on some books, but it keeps alphabetizing the tags and using FOO in iBooks instead of what I want, Science Fiction.
Using this method, can I only use one tag? Thanks for any info/help! |

Read the 'Plugboard transformations' section in this thread. You can use a custom column to control the genre assigned in iTunes.
