PDB conversion problem in Calibre 5

I can't convert PDB files to EPUB or PDF files in Calibre 5 on an iMac. How do I do it. The specs say it is possible, but I can't figure it out. I highlight the PDB file in the list, click convert, select output format at EPUB and it won't convert it. Thanks.

I'll ask a kind mod to relocate this to the Calibre Forum, you may have a better chance of a response from experts, there. Good luck with getting this solved.

What on earth is Calibre 5? Do you mean 0.7.25?
Also, are you getting any errors or messages? What exactly does "it won't convert" mean? Does the PDB have DRM?

The PDB extension does not specifiy a praticular ebook format. For that matter, it doesn't specifiy an ebook at all. It is merely a container type used originally under the PalmOS for data files (Palm DataBase).

There are quite a number of ebook formats that have used the PDB container structure. The two most popular were the eReader format and the PalmDOC/AportisDOC format. Apparently, your file is one of the many that Calibre doesn't support.
