K4 Mac or PC New Kindle 4 PC Version released.

Kindle 4 PC version: 1.3.0.30884 released. It has some new features like being able to download and use the dictionary you specified in the Settings Menu for the Kindle WiFi LG 3.

Still no periodicals on K4PC... I thought I remembered reading that they were going to make periodicals available to K4PC users -- or was I dreaming that?

The revamped periodicals program starts on December 1st, and it isn't yet clear which Kindle apps (and periodicals) will be included initially.

I sure wish they'd get around to adding collections support, though.

I never got around to upgrading to the last version, but I will if they added the search feature... Did they?

Keep in mind if you have more than 750 books in your k4pc library you could have problems opening the app. Also several users, including myself, lost some cover art for some books. I still have not narrowed it down to what the magic number is but my library keeps crashing the update although the previous versin handled them easily.

Yes, they added the Search feature, choice of one or two columns to read plus a direct link to Manage Your Kindle page at the Amazon site. One can display books in List View (large libraries require this) and Tile View.

And in the tiled view, the cover thumbnails are a bit larger than in previous versions.

It also allows one to change the folder where it stores books (if this was in the last version, I missed it).
