Hello from Germany, everyone!

I'm preparing to get a Kindle 3 for my birthday so I'm starting to research the world of ebooks and magazines now - and learning a lot! One of the most wonderful discoveries so far is Calibre. I'm already using it to track down and manage some old books that I used to own and have lost over time, and they are no longer in print! I'm so happy that it's possible to recover them digitally at least!

The noob that I am, I was surprised to learn that ebooks can also be read over several models of mobile phones! I would love to get myself an Android phone next year, so I guess that just means that there are more things to learn.

Glad I'm here! Thank you for offering this place for newbies like me to ask our questions and get started correctly.

Hi Jera and welcome to MobileRead. I buy books from Kobo mainly because, as soon as I buy the book and download it to your computer, it also downloads to my iPhone. Although I don't always have my Sony eBook Reader with me, I always have my phone at hand
