Need to get EPUB file to Valdate
Hi-I'm an author who has a Amazon Kindle version of my novel From Ghetto to Greatness. I need some help getting through EPUB validation.
From Ghetto to Greatness - Kevin Brown.epub is NOT valid

ERROR: From Ghetto to Greatness - Kevin Brown.epub/content.opf(12): date value '2010-10-26T04:00:00+00:00' is not valid, YYYY[-MM[-DD]] expected
ERROR: From Ghetto to Greatness - Kevin Brown.epub/index_split_000.html(13): text not allowed here
ERROR: From Ghetto to Greatness - Kevin Brown.epub/index_split_001.html(842): required attributes missing
ERROR: From Ghetto to Greatness - Kevin Brown.epub/titlepage.xhtml(14): bad value for attribute "preserveAspectRatio"
Check finished with warnings or errors!

Is there anyone who can help me?

I believe this was a bug in epubcheck, try with version 1.0.5...

You probably have some text that is directly under <body>, and not inside a block element like <p> or <div>.

It could be an <img> without the "alt" attribute, which is required.

You could also try putting the ePub through Flight Crew ( http://sigildev.blogspot.com/2010/10...validator.html ), if only to have similar/same errors reported in less cryptic manner, and with more information.
