HTML conversion to PDB
To get a clean conversion of a Microsoft created HTML document with paragraph breaks, I have to copy the viewed html into text and do a "replace all" for Microsoft's "smart quotes", ... and long hyphen.
In addition to the cutsey Microsoft stuff, HTML paragraph tags and line breaks aren't recognized in the conversion from html to pdb. When I copy the visual to text, line breaks are automatically added which Calibre recognizes. Once I have all the converting done, I add the text file to my Calibre library, then convert the new library item to pdb. That's a lot of steps to get a good pdb for my Palm OS. Is there something I should be doing in Calibre to bypass all this? ElfN |
