Powers vs. Power Books One and Two
In a real, gritty Los Angeles, two new heroes appear on the scene. Young Mike Santis dreams of being a great superhero. He has great powers, but not the maturity to handle them. Randall Moss is a software billionaire who spends millions to become a costumed crime fighter, then realizes that his money would be better spent on community centers and job training in his old neighborhood.
As life long comic book fan, I wanted to tell a story that would never be told in comics, a more grownup, reality based series of prose stories with complex characters. I also wanted to make it fun, and still include the spandex costumes and flying cars and battles between superheroes and supervillains. I have two books out, and a third is on the way.
