The Gift - Paranormal mystery thriller

My paranormal mystery thriller, The Gift, is now available in Kindle book edition in both the U.S. and the U.K.

It's the story of Veronica Mallory who's heart broken when she's stood up for the spring dance. Her misinformed father tries to sooth her pain with the gift of a doll house. Unfortunately it's cursed and is soon affecting those around Ronnie in terrifying ways.

Plunged into a world of Victorian spellbooks, ghostly possession and strange behavior, Ronnie finds herself in a race against time to stop bad magic, evil and the destruction of her friends and family.

Fast-paced and fun, this was originally published as part of the Z-Fave line of young adult titles.

It's available in multiple formats from Smashwords and from the publisher Crossroad Press.

One of the fun things to me about writing YA fiction is that is relies on tone, atmosphere and strange situations rather than visceral scares.

I enjoyed writing The Gift because it allowed for the inclusion of mysterious events, investigation into intriguing things such as turn-of-the 19th to 20th century mysticism and other mysterious fun.

It's a strange mystery, and I really love this effort.

This is really one of the books I'm proudest of. Discovered that in the re-editing for the e-book release. I'm very pleased with the pace and building supernatural threat. Sometimes distance from a manuscript makes the heart grow fonder.
