It's very simple really. She posts blurbs of several different books in various genres along with author bios. Writers get exposure; readers get a look at new books to read. If you're a writer with a book out, send her the info and she'll assign a date for your blurb.

Danke. Sounds good to me. Now all we need is someone to write good blurbs. I can do simple back cover stuff fairly easily, but full on blurbs are a bit more difficult.
 At least if I'm understanding the definition of "blurb" correctly.

Go to the site and check out the other blurbs if you're unsure. Granted, it's challenging, but not as challenging as a 1 page synopsis.
