iPad Being Sold Through Verizon
Verizon is going to start selling the iPad through its' stores at the end of this month. They will only be selling the WiFi version and bundle it with their own MiFi 3G hotspot. The cost for the two items will be the same as for the iPad 3G models. Verizon will also offer a monthly 1GB data plan for $20.00 with the bundle.

So compared to the standard AT&T service you pay five dollars less a month, but get half the bandwidth, no internal GPS, and have to carry around an additional piece of hardware?

Looks like $20/1GB is just the basic plan. Engadget is reporting (http://www.engadget.com/2010/10/14/i...ber-28-foresh/) that "there are a pair of other service plans after all: $35 for 3GB and $50 for 5GB, each with penalties of $10 per gigabyte of overage."
