Has anyone seen a good waterproof case for K3?

Hello all:

I'm looking to get a waterproof case for my new K3, something like the Guardian case that was made for the Kindle 2nd generation.

Is anyone out there aware of such a case on the market for the newest generation Kindle? I haven't been able to find one, but that certainly doesn't mean there isn't one out there. I'm not too keen on the plastic bag/zip lock designs, preferring the actual snap-lock clear plastic cases if possible.

Many thanks,

Chris

M-Edge has a waterproof case for K2 (now marked down to $39.99 from the original $79.99 I see...); I assume they'll have one for K3 before too long.

http://www.medgestore.com/products/kindle2-guardian.psp

I thought the K2 design was deficient in several respects, however: it used a clamshell design (with o-ring seal going the entire circumference of the case) rather than one that opened at one end to allow Kindle to be slid in (requiring a much shorter o-ring and smaller lid with less potential for warping/leaking). They only claim it to be waterproof to 1m depth, which is not much of a margin to work with and rules out its use for reading-while-scuba-diving (for example <g>). Also there was no way to wake the Kindle from sleep mode without opening the case, though I've since learned of a series of commands you can enter at the Home screen that lets you turn off the screensaver, and which would circumvent this limitation.

Hopefully they'll improve on this with the K3 case, and stick with the lower price.

Here's another K3 waterproof case I saw advertised recently:

WaterGuard Plus Waterproof Case for Kindle 3 w/Padding, Blue

It's a pocket type, though, so might not meet your needs.

Thanks all. I may go with a Ziplock or Waterguard while I wait for Guardian to come out with a cover for the K3.

I use the evolve aquatic pouch bought from Amazon. It is made of thick clear plastic and very secure fastenings. I wouldn't be worried if this fell under the water with my kindle in it. I have a smaller version for my iPhone they work great for me.
