Chinese fonts display issue on kindle 3
It seems that all my chinese books don't display properly. Here is the problem: Some strokes of the characters are darker, and some strokes are lighter. is it normal?? Those books are in prc and mobi format and (doc convert to Amazon format through Email).
Does the Chinese fonts hack fix the problem?? Currently I am afraid to try the font hack since I am a first time ereader owner, not quite familiar with this kind of stuff. Thank you. |

I read Chinese(simplified), and I use the email to convert doc files which works very well. I've never got any font issues, though I never created any Chinese prc or mobi myself.

See Changing the reader font without a hack [K3]. This allows you to try out various alternative fonts without hacking the K3, although you do need to edit one system file. I suggest making a copy of reader.pref on your PC before editing it, so that you can easily go back to the original. Also, you need to preserve its Unix text formatting, see post #24.
