Navitech Book Case for 650

Just received my Navitech Black Napa Leather book type case for my 650 from Amazon UK. Cost £12.97 inc shipping. The quality is excellent it is a book type opening secured by magnetic clasp. It also has two sd card slots built into its cover and front and back is well padded to protect device and its screen. The product was advertised for the 600, however it fits the 650 like a glove. All the buttons and other functions including the stylus are functional and you would be hard pressed to shake the device out of its cover, which now feels well protected, in fact the cover overlaps the 650 all around by a few cm giving an added buffer zone. Compared to other far more expensive covers I believe it's spot on.
Whilst at it I also had the Mighty Bright led flex book light from Amazon for £10.89 inc shipping and batteries which clips onto the Navitech cover perfectly. Now I am covered night and day.

I agree that the white stitching is distracting ... but rather than "throwing out the baby with the bathwater" I'd probably take a permanent black magic marker and "dye" the white thread black. Cheap and cheerful ...

That is just your opinion. In the flesh the product is well made and the quality of the leather feels very good. If you are happy to pay three or four times more for a cover with the same functionality so be it.
You are coming across to me as very rude and sarcastic, if you cannot be polite and friendly why do you bother to post, I have noted your other comments and other members opinions of you elsewhere.

For heaven's sake, if you really do have to post something, could not most of you just simply say "Not my kind of cover, I don't like it" and not trash the thing ?

Some of you are not even younger than I am, so it can't really be a question of "the new generation received a different education as I did", but really, how rude can most of you be ?

OP is not trying to SELL you the thing, he is just helpfully pinpointing it. You don't like it, fine, no one is forcing you to buy it !
If you cannot be polite, or let's say for the bunch of you at least civil because there is sadly probably not more to expect, don't post anything !!!!!

OK.
I was wrong to criticise it so harshly. I am sorry.
I am going to make it almost invisible. Then I will add some constructive criticism.

Addendum:
I think my reaction was so spiteful because two weeks ago my 505's cover has passed away after 3 years and I could not find a new one, so I had to resort to something else, i.e. Tuff-luv.
I despise it. Navitech Book Case reminds me of it. The whole idea of pushing the reader inside of a very tight sleeve isn't good. The vertical(and probably horizontal too) sides are going to bulge a little bit above the reader's case because of the strain. The white stitching does look unappealing. The bottom part where it gets very close to the buttons is very very frustrating after an absolute freedom of the access that Sony original cover grants.
I would urge anybody who buys Sony Reader to give their cover a chance. It is designed for it, and it does the job perfectly.

Joshseadog, my apologizes again.

Absolutely! The OP was simply trying to pass on helpful information. I wonder how often he will do THAT again now.

Joshseadog, you mentioned you bought the 600 case. Elsewhere everyone seems adamant that the 600 cases won't fit the 650!!

I ask because I'd like a black book style cover for my 650, the same as my Kindle3 cover. I bought the flip up Tuff Luv case and would prefer the book sytle. There is a brown Navitech case specifically for the 650, but I'll go with the black case you have (white stitching and all :-) if you could confirm it's not too tight.

Thanks

I've just found the following pic showing the 600 beside a 650.....

Thank you Astra, you did not give me any offence. I am not trashing any other cover and it is down to personal taste. I have used my 650 now for over two weeks and wanted some urgent protection for it. My local Sony Centre do not have the 650 covers in stock and could not give me any stock dates. I went for the Navitech based on many positive reviews of the product at Amazon UK and for the cost, it was worth a try what with the returns policy under distance selling regs etc. I am glad I did based on my initial post/review.
OutaDaDark, No it's not too tight, fits fine, in fact I slipped a very small piece of foam inside on the spine and now alround it holds it solidly in place without any bulges or other glitches.

Many thanks to all forum members, for without your contributions and knowledge I would not have purchased my Sony and have entered the world of ereaders.
