Good Popular Science Books?
Anyone have some good popular science recommendations? I've read "A Short History of Nearly Everything" and enjoyed it.

Highly recommend Einstein's Cosmos by Michau Kaku. Arguably the best book on special & general relativity.
And, although technically not popular science, I strongly recommend The Mother Tounge by Bill Bryson; same author as A Short History Fascinating book on the English language. |

A lot of stuff by James Gleick is very good, I think a lot of people walked away from reading "Genius" with a greater level of appreciation for physics, math and human psychology (and Richard Feynman of course!).

I would recommend The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. It is a human interest story that revolves around science. |

I came across these while reading a couple of the many "The Best American Sports Writing" books.
Compilations of science articles as selected by 'guest' authors. There are any number of yearly published volumes. http://www.amazon.com/Best-American-...=20C43OCH60M7S |
