I want a delivery date for the T1 from the England Sony store. Does anyone have one?

For Holland the date is october 19 according to bol.com. Why so long after the US?

I called Sony yesterday and the girl I spoke to said 24th October. But she didn't sound very certain despite putting me on hold to ask someone. Also, my local Sony store are still saying mid-October.

I'm hoping my T1 arrives by then as would like to be using it on my birthday.

I spoke to Sony earlier this week and was told that it will be released at the end of the second week of October (next week?) and will be delivered by the end of October. But this is Sony we are dealing with, so you may as well ask how long is a piece of string?
