Trying to figure out how to do a mass load onto Moon+Reader from Calibre opds; was able to do so with Maple Read on IOS.

However, will see how the Lenovo Duet Chromebook looks/works when it is available supposedly in May. Reason: the 10 inch has a detachable keyboard & backing which will make it the size of a 10 in tablet; then loading Calibre into the linux area & forget about using Calibre Companion. The only thing is to see what reader apps are available......of course, will still be able to run CC on the Android side....

another gadget...

Based on user feedback though, we are maintaining a majority of the UI/UX layout and implementing upgrades to deprecated libraries for speed and bug fixing.
Can I please ask that you consider issuing a subscription based CC as a new app in the Play Store? That way existing users who have paid for the app already and are totally happy with the existing feature set don't unknowingly or unwittingly "upgrade" to an app that may no longer meet their requirements (including financial impacts)?

We have considered this and we can not proceed with this option. The development load and implications from doing so do not fit our long term strategy and our resources for development.

We plan on trying to announce to users when the release is near and also provide a means for existing users to be more happy (more to come later) with the new subscription model.

At the end of the day, when you upgrade, you will not lose functionality, the app should inherently remain the same but with an upgraded backend and bugs fixed.

Understood.

I use CC for one task only - my tablet connects automatically each morning to pull a daily news epub generated by a Calibre recipe. As long as the current version of CC continues to work as is, including the new version not unintentionally or deliberately breaking the current licence check, I'll be happy.

Yes. some of us have hammered the CC guys but Bookari gets away unscathed in these forums. Maybe because there's no user base here. I dropped it after one too many bugged updates...

for anyone interested in using MOon reader as a librarian workaround.
I had a quick search for a full list of its database fields, have not found that yet, but I did find this article with stuff about sorting and customising shelves..
