Unhandled exception: DatabaseException:disk I/O error
Hi
I am trying to remove a number of tags and also unnecessary additional formats (epub, lit etc) When I try to update the metadata in calibre, I get the following error message: ERROR: ERROR: Unhandled exception: DatabaseException:disk I/O error RemoteTraceback (most recent call last): File "calibre\library\sqlite.pyo", line 141, in run OperationalError: disk I/O error Traceback (most recent call last): File "calibre\gui2\dialogs\metadata_bulk.pyo", line 120, in sync File "calibre\library\database2.pyo", line 954, in remove_format File "calibre\library\sqlite.pyo", line 170, in run DatabaseException: disk I/O error RemoteTraceback (most recent call last): File "calibre\library\sqlite.pyo", line 141, in run OperationalError: disk I/O error My library is on a network drive but the drive is working fine and the library is complete, when I cancel the error message it completes the requested action but I can't undertake these actions for multiple files because of the error... Do I need to delete the library file and recreate? |

A disk I/O error means that some update t the database is failing. I would suggest moving the library off your network drive, doing these operations and then putting it back.
