Blank Blinking Screen
Hello, my name is Pawel,
I have problems with the screen of my Opus. Device works correctly when plugged to computer - I mean I can upload files and the red light is gloving (so it's charging I hope). When I'm pressing start button, green light appears and Opus is ON. When I'm pressing the OK button only edges are blinking, nothing else is displayed (Blank Screen). Firstly it was a wallpaper and it started to fade, and now it's only blank screen with those mentioned blinking edges. I have contacted support but they want me to send it to france for tests but the cost of sending it is like 30 euros one way and I don't have a proof of buying because it was a used one, so probably i will have to pay twice (and 60 euros is like half the price for a new Opus). photos of device: http://ifotos.pl/zobacz/opus1jpg_rnqersw.jpg/ http://www.tinyimg.pl/h7ao4js4rsdq.html I have already tried reset, hard reset, battery remove - nothing worked. Thank you for any help. |

It can really be a problem with the screen itself (although not a broken screen) and in this case I'm afraid you can't do anything but to send it to Paris.
Just to be sure it's not a dying battery: what happens when you plug in the cable? Does the screen show the usual sign of loading with the two cables or nothing? And do you remember having done something specific before all this happened? |

If the border blink, your screen is likely to be defective.. And you can do nothing but send it for repair.

You don't need to have a proof of purchase. That is only important if you want to claim warranty. Bookeen will repair your Opus nevertheless (if it is possible), the disadvantage is that you have to pay for the repair and the shipping.

I seriously doubt that the screen controller is bad
