A note to anyone who might not do this all in one day: The battery charger is off while running "Diags" - after 4 days, I just got a 'Battery Critical' screen and it rebooted to 'main' to run the charger.

MiniCom Installation and Setup
The following presumes your PC is running some flavor of Linux.
There are a few PC system commands used here but the users of MacOSx and any *BSD should not have any trouble translating them.
