Install USBNetworkHack on already jailbreaken Kindle PW2
There is a useful plugin that allows paranoid users like myself to connect their PW2 to Calibre through USB while running KOReader.

However this requires the USBNetworkHack.

If I am not mistaken it is an old hack to jailbreak the firmware of the Kindle. But can it still be run safely on an already jailbreaken Kindle PW2 running 5.12.2.1.1 (latest version at this date) ?

You’re completely mistaken - USBNet doesn’t jailbreak the device, it configures it as a network device and starts an SSH server. You can get the latest version from here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=225030

I thought USB networking can only be installed on a Kindle that's already jailbroken.
