Beaver -a lightweight text/src editor
I have started a Beaver thread here, but I never published a binary.
useful things: # USB keyboard server # windowmanager fluxbox Without fluxbox you have to live with this odds: # Beaver starts as a non-fullscreen-window, you can set the size of the window in the Edit/Preferences. # Beaver window lies above all others. # Beaver does not work right with ipdf [it was discussed in the older beaver thread]. Therefore I recommend to give fluxbox a try. You can change the size of beaver's window when you drag & drop a corner edge with stylus. Screenshots shows a fluxbox/ipdf/Beaver session. Awesome! You now have me thinking about buying a USB keyboard. And I wonder if I could connect my psion 5mx to the iliad and use that.

Awesome!
I mean awful... no Awesome! (Sorry I am a 'The Office' fan ) This editor is very good indeed and once you managed to change the size of the window it is really useable (even with the onboard keyboard). If I need a full refresh I just press "SHIFT" twice. Thanks for this app!!! |

Shell script is attached, which deletes the config file "General". Beaver creates a new one with default values, when you start beaver the next time. I have set the home directory to Code:
